Damage to tourist sites to be fixed soon: Kandula

Tourism, Culture, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh has announced that damaged tourist sites in Vijayawada will be restored. On Tuesday, the Minister inspected the affected areas, including Bhavani Island and Berm Park, as well as other tourist spots in Vijayawada.
Following recent heavy rains and floods, Minister Durgesh confirmed that immediate restoration work will be carried out at Bhavani Island, Beam Park, and other damaged tourist sites. He visited these locations by boat to assess the flood damage personally. The Minister stated that the restoration efforts will focus on returning the affected tourist sites in Vijayawada and the NTR district to their previous state as quickly as possible. He mentioned that a detailed assessment of the damage is underway, and a full report will be discussed with the relevant authorities to plan and execute the necessary actions. Measures will be taken to revive tourism in Vijayawada.
Tourism Department Executive Director Padmavathy, OSD Chaitra Varshini, DVM Chaitanya, APTDC Executive Engineer Srinivas, and other officials accompanied Minister Durgesh during the inspection.
