Delegates from the Danish Patent and Trademark Office (DKPTO) and MSME enterprises visited MLR Institute of Technology (MRLIT) to gain understanding of Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC) on Monday.
The delegates are Kirsten Kjaer Skott, Principal Adviser, DKPTO, Tina Dahlerup Poulsen, Principal Adviser, DKPTO, Dr Louise Boisen, IPR Counsellor to India , Embassy of Denmark, Satish Kumar , Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME and Nitin Kumar Sharma, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME. The aim of the visit is to gain a complete understanding of the Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre (IPFC) established in MLR Institute of Technology in 2019, supported by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The centre is dedicated to MSME, startups, academics/research institutes, entrepreneurs and researchers in India. It helps to protect the intellectual property rights by providing best IP services from drafting to grant of IPRs and technical consultation to convert the ideas into secured marketable products.
MLRIT Chairman Marri Laxman Reddy, Director Marri Shreya Reddy and Principal Dr K Srinivas Rao welcomed the delegates and highlighted the institute’s commitment to fostering innovation and protecting intellectual property rights.
Marri Rajashekhar Reddy, Founder Secretary of MLR Institute of Technology and MLA of Malkajgiri, congratulated the IPFC team for their exemplary service to the innovators.
He said, “The IPFC team at MLRIT has done a remarkable job in fostering a culture of innovation and protecting the intellectual property rights. Their efforts have not only enhanced awareness but also ensured that the local talent receive the recognition and protection they deserve.”
