Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao felicitated the NDRF team members, who risked their lives to save the lives of the flood-hit, with merit certificates and shields along with the chief whip in the presence of MLAs, officials and others at a programme held at Collectorate on Saturday.
He congratulated the NDRF, DRF, fire, police and municipal departments day and night to save the lives of the people.
The Minister assured the people to stand by them in all respects.
Chief Whip inspects flood-hit areas
The Government chief whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar along with District Collector, Municipal Commissioner toured the flood-hit areas in 9th, 10th, 11th and 29th divisions of Warangal West constituency.
He visited the flood-hit areas in Kakatiya Colony Phase-1 and 2, Alankar, Peddamm agadda, Ramannapet, Ramgampet along with municipal chairman Sundar Raj Yadav, District collector and municipal commissioner. He directed the officials to remove the encroachments on the protection walls, nalas and encroachments of the Nalas. He took part in the relief measures along with fire, NDRF, DRF teams. He said that it was not the time for speaking politics and distributed food and drinking water among the food hit. He directed the officials to implement the roads and drainages restoration works immediately. He said that the rehabilitation centres have been set up in the city and the flood-hit have been rehabilitated there.
Those who have been lodged in the rehabilitation centre have been given food and water.
He said that several rehabilitation measures would be initiated. He said that he had spoken with CM KCR and Municipal Administration Minister.
