Collector Muzammil Khan has asked the Indira Dairy to implement action plan to produce three lakh litres and asked the officials to increase milk procurement, marketing and transportation.
He reviewed the activities of the Indira Dairy with Additional Collector P Srija and with officials of Indira Dairy.
He asked the officials to take steps to set up 8 to 10 milk procurement centres in Madhira Assembly constituency.
After the procurement of the milk, an action plan should be drawn to set up a chilling unit. A building has been identified to set up 4,000 to 5,000 litre milk chilling facility. He asked the officials to take steps for the renovation of the chilling unit in the building.
The Collector directed the officials to arrange loans to the 40,000 members of Indira Dairy through Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Minority Corporations. A check list should be prepared for setting up of dairy units and take steps to launch the units. Priority should be given to allot the units those who have the cattle sheds and fodder facility. The officials should work with coordination and implement the action plan for the success of the dairy, he said.
