District Collector MN Harendhira Prasad has urged Revenue officials to approach their duties with empathy and professionalism, treating the public with the same respect and care they would afford their own family members. Speaking at the Bheemili Revenue Division Officers Conference, Prasad emphasised the importance of adhering to government policies with honesty and integrity.
“Every citizen who walks into our offices deserves to be treated with respect and served without unnecessary hurdles,” Prasad stated. “Our responsibility is to ensure the people are not inconvenienced, and we must strive to serve them in accordance with the rules.” He highlighted the need for Revenue staff to stay informed about local conditions, safeguard government lands, identify alienated properties, and maintain accurate records.
Proper land management, Prasad noted, would attract industries and IT companies to the region. “Visakhapatnam is rapidly becoming a metropolitan hub, and we must act accordingly,” he added. “By being committed and honest in our work, we can ensure the growth and development of the region.” Prasad also cautioned against negligence or irregularities in Revenue services, particularly in issuing critical documents like caste, income, and residence certificates.
“Mistakes in the mutation process or issuance of tenant passbooks will not be overlooked,” Prasad warned. The conference covered key topics such as the re-survey process, government land protection, certificate issuance, and revenue record management. Prasad reminded officials to be available to the public
and informed about their duties.
“Every staff member, especially those newly appointed, should be fully aware of their responsibilities and perform their duties with the highest level of commitment,” he stated. Joint Collector K Mayur Ashok, District Revenue Officer K Mohan Kumar, Bheemili RDO Sangeet Madhur, and other officials from the Bheemili constituency attended the conference.
