In a significant development, the ACB Court granted approval on Friday for the AP CID’s proposal to attach businessman Lingamaneni Ramesh’s guest house, situated along the banks of River Krishna at Undavalli. This decision comes as a blow to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Lingamaneni Ramesh.

Since 2015, TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu has been residing in the said guest house.
Following arguments presented by the AP CID and Ramesh, the court authorised the CID to proceed with attaching the property.

The CID has alleged that Naidu was gifted the house by Lingamaneni Ramesh as a quid pro quo for exempting his lands from the inner ring road plan for Amaravati during the TDP regime.

Under the TDP government, the proposed inner ring road for Amaravati was slated to pass through the Lingamaneni family’s land boundaries.

According to the CID, the Lingamaneni family presented the guest house to Naidu in return for the exemption of their lands from the ring road.

Previously, the State government issued a notification authorizing the CID to take possession of the property.

Subsequently, the CID filed a petition in the ACB court, seeking permission to proceed with the attachment, which was granted after considering arguments from both parties.
