The delay in announcing the new Telangana BJP President is leading to frustration and disappointment among its leaders, who are running for the post and others.
Whether it is creating frustration or not, the TG BJP president post issue has come in handy for opponents, particularly the Congress, to criticise the BJP.
The war of words between the Congress and BJP leaders is now running around the Telangana BJP President post creating frustration among BJP leaders.
The current Telangana BJP President, G. Kishan Reddy, had announced several dates for announcing the new president, but that never came to pass. However, Congress leaders have been criticising BJP leaders who criticise the Congress government and the Congress party by countering them with the TG BJP President issue.
Congress leaders also say that BJP leaders like Eatala Rajender and Bandi Sanjay Kumar are criticising the Congress and the Chief Minister to please the BJP high command and bag the Telangana BJP President post. Congress leaders are also saying that BJP leaders won’t get their dream posts by criticising the Congress and the government.
However, one BJP leader said the party follows some set procedures to select state presidents, like deploying an observer who will accept nomination papers from hopefuls.
