Meenakshi Chaudhary is the actress who stole the show in 2024, not because of her great success, but because of her prominent presence in Tollywood. The actress had two films released in 2022, Khiladi and Hit: The Second Case and in 2023, she didn’t have any Telugu film releases. Interestingly, she is the only actress with four of her Telugu films and a Tamil-dubbed Telugu film released in 2024.
Meenakshi started 2024 with superstar Mahesh Babu’s film Guntur Kaaram, followed by Lucky Bhaskar, Matka and Mechanic Rocky. Although only Lucky Bhaskar achieved significant success, the other films didn’t fare well. The actress was also paired opposite Tamil superstar Vijay in GOAT, which was released in Telugu but bombed at the box office. Despite her low success rate, 2024 undoubtedly belongs to Meenakshi, with multiple film releases. In one of her interviews, Meenakshi mentioned, “These films were signed much before and released one after another in 2024.” Now, her upcoming film Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, where she plays a cop opposite Venkatesh, is scheduled to release during this Sankranthi. She hopes that the New Year brings more joy with this festival release.
