A grand devotional cultural festival featuring artists from across India is set to take place at the Panakala Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Mangalagiri. Organised in collaboration with devoted philanthropists, the festival, known as Muthyala Vahanaotsavam, will be held on July 3 and aims to secure a place in both the Guinness Book of Records and the Indian Book of Records.
Anga Upendra Varma, the festival committee organiser, announced that this event will make history by showcasing various traditional and cultural artists performing temple music, dance, and other art forms simultaneously, marking the auspicious occasion of ‘Guru Purnima’.
According to Varma, the celebration, which involves 1200 members from 30 different bands, music groups, and dance troupes, will showcase a continuous 20-minute performance in an attempt to set a record. The goal of the Muthyala Vahanaotsavam is to promote spirituality through a harmonious blend of traditional music, dance, and temple customs that are deeply rooted in Indian culture. This unique event will bring together renowned bands, music groups, and dance troupes from various states across India, all converging in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh.
Varma emphasised that the event will showcase the rich diversity of traditional music, dance, and cultural expressions from different regions of India. Of special significance will be the inclusion of tribal music, dance, and bands from the two Telugu states. He further highlighted that each team participating in the event will consist of a minimum of 10 to 100 members. The festival will also feature captivating performances by renowned art forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Thirakali, and Kalimatha dance troupes, adding to the allure and excitement of the event.
