DGP inspects security steps for ‘Mahanadu’

With the ‘Mahanadu’ event slated for May 27, 28 and 29 at Pabbapuram in CK Dinne mandal of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta conducted a thorough review of the security arrangements at the venue on Saturday.

The DGP assessed various aspects including VIP security, traffic management, designated parking zones, the main dais and food court facilities.

He issued several instructions to senior police officials, emphasising the need for round-the-clock vigilance and seamless coordination to ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.Anticipating a large turnout, DGP Gupta underscored the importance of uninterrupted traffic flow and strict enforcement of safety protocols. He highlighted the need for meticulous planning to effectively manage the crowd while maintaining public order.

The DGP’s inspection underscores the police department’s commitment to high-level coordination and preparedness ahead of the high-profile event, which is expected to attract significant participation from party leaders, cadres and the public.

DGP Gupta was accompanied by senior police officials including Additional DGP (Law & Order) N Madhusudan Reddy, Kurnool Range DIG Dr Koya Praveen, Anantapur Range DIG Dr Shemushi Bajpai, Kadapa SP E G Ashok Kumar, Kurnool SP Vikrant Patil, Annamayya SP V Vidyasagar Naidu, Nandyal SP Adhiraj Singh Rana, Anantapur SP P Jagadeesh, and Guntakal Railway SP Rahul Meena. Several other police personnel were also present during the security review.
