Dhanush recently finished directing his next film, D50, in which he also stars. Taking to social media, he thanked the crew and producer Kalanithi Maran for their help.
Dhanush shared the news on his Twitter account, writing, “#D50 #DD2wrapped.” Thank you very much to the entire staff and cast. “I am grateful to Kalanithi Maran Sir and Sun Pictures for their support of my vision.”
D50 was presented with a poster that featured Dhanush with a clean-shaven head, his face obscured against the backdrop of industrial scenes, similar to the initial announcement. D50 filming began in July of this year. While specifics regarding the cast and crew are being kept under wraps, fans are excited.
Dhanush won his first Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil for his directorial debut, Pa Paandi, in 2017. Aside from D50, he has Captain Miller, an action-adventure drama directed by Arun Matheswaran set in the pre-Independence era. In major parts, the film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken, and Moor.
