As per the instructions of DGP Rajendranath Reddy, the ACB officials investigated the illegal earnings of Municipal Commissioner Sabbi Siva Rama Krishna of Bhimavaram municipality in West Godavari district.
Acting on the information received by the Anti-Corruption Department officials that Shiva Rama Krishna has acquired assets disproportionate to his income, ACB officials conducted searches in the Bhimavaram Municipal Commissioner Quarters, Palakollu, Bapatla, Tanuku and Vijayawada. The officials found huge illegal assets, such as 3.03 acres of agricultural land in Palangi village of Undrajavaram mandal and G+1 buildings in Bhimavaram, Tanuku, and Palakollu.
Besides, the officer was found to have one vacant residential plot in Palakollu, two apartments in Vijayawada, Rs 20 lakh net cash and 500 grams of gold, two cars, and one two-wheeler at his home. The officials seized the properties. The searches were still under progress.
