District Medical and Health Officer Dr Kazipet Venkata Ramana on Wednesday visited the house of a dengue patient in LB Nagar area of the city and checked the health of the boy and issued several instructions to the family regarding the boy’s health. He visited the medical camp organised in the area on the occasion and asked them to be on the alert as the insect-borne diseases are on the rise. He asked them to undertake door-to-door fever survey. He also inspected the anti-larval operations being undertaken by the municipal personnel and Pyrethrin spray activities and asked the civic body staff to put the oil balls in the areas where the water is stagnated. Further, he asked them to undertake fogging operations during evenings.
At the same time, he appealed to the people to maintain the personal hygiene and also that of their surroundings to protect themselves from the epidemics. Municipal biologist Madhava Reddy, incharge AMO Madisetty Srinivas, SUO Vijayendra Kumar, Supervisor Sadanandam, medical and health worker Masood Ali, ANMs, ASHA workers and municipal personnel took part in the event.
