DMHO warns of action against sex determination tests

Bhadradri Kothagudem District Medical and Health Officer Dr L Bhaskar Naik on Tuesday warned of action against those who violate Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PSPNDT) Act in the district.
Strict action will be taken against those who would conduct sex determination test. An advisory committee meeting was held in this regard.  In this committee meeting, it was decided to take strict action against anyone who violated the act and conducted gender determination tests.
Similarly, the committee decided to take strict action n against those who perform abortions without proper reason and if permission is given to anyone, it has been decided to give permission to them only if they submit all kinds of certificates.  In order to make people aware about this, IEC requested to print and distribute the material.
