State Revenue, Housing and Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Khammam MP Rama Sahal Raghunatha Reddy, Aswaraopeta MLA Jare Adinarayana and District Collector Jitesh V. Patil inaugurated the new building of the primary health centre constructed at a cost of Rs 1.56 lakh in Mangapet village of Mulakalapalli mandal on Tuesday.
As part of the programme, a sapling was planted in the primary health centre. The Minister inspected all the rooms in the primary health centre.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister directed the Panchayat Raj officials to complete the building construction work quickly. He directged the District Medical Officer to submit reports to the Collector regarding the required equipment, medicines and staff in the primary health centre.
Speaking to the doctors at the primary health centre, the Minister said that doctors are equal to God. They should be available to the people and provide better medicine, and with the hope of making medical services available to the rural people, measures will be taken to ensure that there is no shortage of medical staff and medicines along with the construction of concrete buildings.
Doctors and staff are advised to perform their duties properly and serve the people. The officials were directed to develop all the facilities in the primary health centre. The Minister said that he will come back for inspection soon.
State Irrigation Development Corporation Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, District Medical Officer Bhaskar Naik, DCMS Chairman Kotwala Srinivasa Rao, Kothagudem RDO Madhu, Panchayat Raj Department EE Srinivas, R&B EE Venkateswara Rao and medical officers and doctors participated in the programme.
