Dola urges Union Minister to release pending funds for AP

Minister for Social Welfare Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy met Union Minister for Social Justice Dr Veerendra Kumar and Minister of State Ramdas Athawale in New Delhi on Friday, urging them to release pending funds for Andhra Pradesh.
During the meeting, he requested Union Minister Veerendra Kumar to release Rs 110 crore for 526 villages selected under the PM AJAY Adarsh Gram Scheme in the state.
He also sought Rs 245 crore for the construction of 75 new social welfare hostels, Rs 193 crore for the development of basic infrastructure in Dr B R Ambedkar Gurukul schools under PM AJAY, and Rs 95.84 crore as compensation for SC and ST atrocity victims.
Additionally, the minister appealed for the construction of three hostels in Prakasam and Palnadu districts for disabled students and financial assistance for disabled individuals above 23 years of age to help them stay in hostels.
Speaking to the media, Balaveeranjaneya Swamy said the Union Minister responded positively and assured full support to Andhra Pradesh.
