Don’t arrest Harish in phone tapping case till Feb 12: HC

The High Court has granted relief to BRS MLA Harish Rao in the phone tapping case, directing the police not to arrest him till February 12.
The order comes in response to a petition filed by Harish seeking the quashing of the FIR registered against him at the Panjagutta Police Station.
The case was registered after a complaint by Chakradhar Goud, based on which the police launched legal proceedings. Harish, contesting the allegations, approached the High Court, arguing that the FIR was baseless and politically driven.
After hearing arguments, the High Court issued interim orders restraining the police from taking any action against Harish until further notice. The case is expected to come up for further hearing in coming days.
