Dr YSR’s statue to be unveiled on BRTS Road on September 3

Former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s statue will be unveiled on the occasion of of his 14th death anniversary at the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) Road at Satyanarayanapuram in Vijayawada on September 3, said Andhra Pradesh Fibernet Corporation Limited Chairman Punuru Gowtham Reddy. Many of the State ministers and MLAs will attend the statue’s inaugural programme, he said.

In view of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s 14th death anniversary, Goutham Reddy inaugurated the blood donation camp organised by the APSFL with the cooperation of the Red Cross Society, aiming to protect the lives of children who are suffering from Thalassemia disease at the APSFL head office on the premises in Vijayawada on Wednesday. He paid rich tributes to Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Gowtham Reddy said that Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy has done a lot for the uplift of the poor, middle-class, and weaker sections of people. He had given a top priority to education and health sectors besides the welfare schemes, he said. The current Chief Minister and Dr YSR’s son YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is implementing many welfare schemes as part of Navaratnalu, he added.

He expressed his happiness over the good response from the people to the blood donation camp. He appreciated the APSFL employees who came forward to donate their blood. Meanwhile, he said that the YSR Trade Union is going to install the statue of Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy on the BRTS road on September 3.

APSFL General Manager Suresh, Sarath, Red Cross Society representatives K Venkata Ramana, M Vijaya, and others were present.
