Draw inspiration from warriors, MLAs exhort students

MLAs Mohammad Naseer Ahmad and Galla Madhavi exhorted the students and NCC cadets to pursue discipline which is key to achieving success.  On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas’s silver jubilee, a programme was organized at BR Ambedkar Bhavan here on Friday by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC).
Addressing NCC cadets, MLA Mohammad Naseer Ahmad said historical incidents leave certain lessons for future generations to learn, adding that discipline and preparedness are the keys to success. The MLA exhorted the NCC cadets to draw inspiration from the memorable success of the Kargil war, to make India a great and powerful nation by 2047.
Addressing the college students and NCC cadets, West MLA Galla Madhavi asked them to aim high to take India to the pinnacle of the world by 2047, in terms of development. Ms Madhavi said that the glorious target is achievable if the youth sincerely puts in its efforts. She said soldiers make many sacrifices to keep the country at peace and development uninterrupted.
NCC Group Commander Col SM Chandrasekhar explained the difficulties faced by the Army in the high altitude warfare during the Kargil war, in 1999. However, he said, India has modernized its armoury and war tactics and grown as an indomitable power.
PIB and CBC Additional Director General Rajinder Chuadhry explained various activities taken up by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to reach the public with correct information. He also motivated the students to take the challenges with confidence and results with humility.
CBC, of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, is organising the 3-day photo exhibition, open to all, to remember the supreme sacrifices made by the soldiers in protecting the sovereignty of the country.  
As part of the programme, NCC cadets from various town colleges led a rally with patriotic slogans, flagged off by CBC Field Officer R Ramesh Chandra and NCC officer Vijay Mohite. CBC has also organized essay writing, elocution, quiz and drawing competitions on the Kargil Vijaya Diwas silver jubilee theme in various colleges
