‘Dream Catcher is a psychological thriller’

Another thriller is on the way to hit the screens on January 3. Dream Catcher is the title and it is directed and produced by Sandeep Kakula with Prashanth Krishna and Aneesha Dama as the lead pair. It is a psychological thriller and the director says it gives something new to the audience.
“My dream was to make a film and this Dream Catcher started with the idea of creating a film about dreams. Hollywood films like Inception were my inspiration,” said the director Sandeep Kakula. He wanted to attempt something at a Hollywood level with this one and he shot this film entirely in Hyderabad. “After seeing the trailer, people are asking where the film was shot. I can confidently say that no film based on dreams has been released in Telugu until now,” said the director. He added in this film he didn’t put any song or action scenes, as he focused only on the story.  The director feels that he never wanted to release it on OTT. “I believe if we made a good film, it would be appreciated anywhere,” he said.
Lead actor Prashanth Krishna said that director Sandeep called him for an audition for this film four years back. “He made this film with passion, involving everyone in the team. This film will give you a fresh experience as a psychological thriller,” said Prashanth. After the trailer, he received compliments that he resembles Adivi Sesh and Rana. “They are both incredible actors and self-made stars. I’m happy to be compared to such talented and passionate actors,” said Prashanth.
