K Dinesh Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation, encouraged students to explore innovative drone use cases that leverage cutting-edge technology. He emphasised that the corporation would fully support and collaborate with students who come forward with such ideas. At the recently held Amaravati Drone Summit, organised by the State government, a hackathon was conducted focused on drone use cases for aspiring students. The best-presented cases were awarded prizes during the event.
These student presentations, initially showcased virtually, will now be displayed in real-time for further development by the Drone Corporation. As part of this initiative, 10 students presented their innovative use cases at SRM University with the institution’s collaboration. K. Dinesh Kumar, who attended as the chief guest, personally reviewed the students’ drone designs. He interacted with the students, enquiring about their design methods and other relevant details.
In his address, he commended the creativity and effort behind the use cases, which were previously presented at the Amaravati Drone Summit. He reassured the students that the corporation would provide ongoing support. Besides, he mentioned that the corporation would review the students’ use cases every 15 days. If these use cases are deemed practically feasible, user-friendly, and applicable in real-world scenarios, they will be implemented by government departments, with further assistance offered to the students.
