The Telangana government has changed the Dussehra holiday. It has issued an order declaring October 23 as the Dussehra holiday and also gave leave on October 24. Apart from the holidays for school students, the government said that everyone else will have Dussehra holidays on October 23 and 24. Bathukamma is given a regular holiday on October 14, while Durgastami is given an optional holiday on October 22.
In the background of the festival, schools will be given holidays for about 13 days. Junior colleges will have seven days of holidays.The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education said that junior colleges will have vacation from October 19 to 25 and will open on October 26.
The Inter Board has made it clear that no special classes can be held during Dussehra holidays in Junior Colleges.
