Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Assembly Raghurama Krishna Raju has lodged a complaint with the DGP against Sakshi TV and journalist Krishnam Raju for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Amaravati and AP women during a televised debate.
Raju condemned the reference to Amaravati as a “capital of prostitutes,” calling it deeply offensive and a violation of journalistic ethics. He sought cases against Krishnam Raju, senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, and the anchor under various IPC Sections. The Deputy Speaker also demanded action against the channel based on the debate’s footage.
