EC watching political murders in AP

The Election Commission has taken the political killing incidents seriously in Giddalur and Allagadda constituencies and the torching of vehicles in Macherla.
State Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena took an explanation from SPs Parameshwar Reddy, Ravi Shankar Reddy and K Raghuveera Reddy of Prakasam, Palnadu and Nandyala districts on these three incidents of violence. The SPs met the CEO Meena and gave the complete details of the incidents separately.
The CEO asked why they were negligent in maintaining law and order in the districts. The SPs were asked why they had to wait for the situation to deteriorate to political killings.
The CEO asked the Palanadu SP Ravi Shankar Reddy why the Macharla constituency has been neglected though it was listed as a sensitive area for a long time.
He asked why these places were neglected even after the election code was issued.
He said that the EC is directly monitoring the law and order situation in the state.
The CEO will send the reports of the explanations given by the three SPs to the Central Election Commission.
