ECoR celebrates Constitution Day

The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway on Sunday celebrated National Constitution Day, commemorating the adoption of the Indian Constitution on November 26, 1949.
At the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office in Visakhapatnam, ADRM (Infra) Sudhir Kumar Gupta read out the Preamble of the Constitution along with ADRM (operations) Manoj Kumar Sahoo and other Branch Officers and staff.
The Government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day in 2015, in tune with the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.
As part of the Constitution Day celebrations, staff and officers stationed at various Stations and Depots within the Division actively participated by reading out the Preamble. Many employees also took part in a Preamble Reading and Quiz Contest on the Indian Constitution through MyGov.in portal.
To enhance awareness about Constitution Day among passengers, banners, and posters focusing on the Constitution were prominently displayed at Railway Stations and on trains throughout the Division.
