The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth Rs 44.74 crore belonging to Hayagriva Farms, in connection with former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP from Visakhapatnam, MVV Satyanarayana.
The investigation has named Satyanarayana, his auditor GV, and managing partner Gadde Brahaji as key figures in the alleged financial irregularities.
According to the ED, plots under the Hayagriva Farms project were sold, generating approximately Rs 150 crore in revenue. The agency had conducted searches at the residences and offices of MVV Satyanarayana and his associates in October last year as part of its probe.
The ED alleges that land meant for orphans and the elderly was illegally encroached upon. The case originated from a complaint filed at the Arilova police station by Chilukuru Jagadishwarudu and his wife Radharani, who accused Satyanarayana of forcibly acquiring 12.51 acres of land in Yendada.
The ED’s probe, based on this FIR, has now led to the attachment of assets, with further investigations underway.
