ED notice to Pilot Rohit Reddy, actress Rakul Preeth Singh

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued notices to Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy in connection with a narcotic case. The ED said in its notice that Rohit has to appear before the ED on December 19. Rohit confirmed that he had received the notice. In fact, he said that he will attend the inquiry and answer the questions asked by ED. He told the media that there are no details in the ED notice on what topic it will question him. However, the ED asked Rohit to come along with his Aadhaar card, Voter ID cards and documents showing his and his family’s financial transactions and his companies’ affairs since 2014.

It is learnt that Rohit has been discussing with his lawyers the notices and that he will respond to the notices only after discussing them with legal experts.

It may be recalled that in 2021, the ED issued a notice based on a case registered by the Govardhanpura police in Bengaluru. The notices said that Rohit went to a party with a businessman named Kalahar Reddy and attended a party given by film producer Shankar Gowda. The police concluded that drugs worth Rs 4 crore were brought to the party from Nigerians. Mastan and Shankar Gowda who took the drugs were arrested by Bengaluru police.
