Eggs thrown at Bandi Sanjay’s convoy at PV’s village

Eggs were thrown at BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s convoy at Vangara under Bheemadevarapalli mandal in Hanamkonda district on Wednesday.
Tension built up in the area when BJP activists reached there in large numbers following the incident.
Bandi Sanjay visited the village as part of his Prajahitha Yatra to seek voter support for the party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
As part of the Yatra, he visited the residence of former prime minister PV Narasimha Rao.
Having visited the PV’s house, he embarked on his journey to proceed to Mulkanoor when two persons threw eggs at the convoy. They fell on the vehicle in which media persons were travelling, leading to prevalence of tension in the area.
The BJP leaders alleged that Congress activists resorted to throwing eggs on Bandi’s convoy at the instance of the Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
Bandi Sanjay said in an angry tone that the police remained mute spectators when miscreants threw eggs at his convoy.
I did not need any security from police. Police need not come with the convoy. My party activists will take care of my security,”Bandi Sanjay said in a voice choked with anger.
