Finance Minister T. Harish Rao called upon people to elect a ‘strong’ leader and not a ‘wrong’ leader. “Some are paper leaders. But KCR is a ‘proper,’ ‘strong’ leader,” he said.

Harish made it clear that no matter how many tricks anyone plays in the state, the hat trick belongs to KCR.

The State President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), BN Rao, joined the BRS in the presence of Harish, Minister Gangula Kamalakar and the Vice President of the Planning Commission, Boinapalli Vinod Kumar, at the Telangana Bhavan on Friday.

Harish warmly invited BN Rao into the party with a pink scarf. IMA Presidents from different districts and 70 doctors joined the BRS.

After the admissions, Harish clarified that Telangana is the first state to establish a medical college in all districts.

“Seeing the policy of our state, the Centre introduced the policy of a medical college for every district,” he said. He suggested that people should think whether the state needs “a paper leader or a proper leader.”

The Minister said that Telangana is not only a pharma hub but also a health hub and an IT hub. He said that Telangana is number one in the production of grain and number one in the production of doctors.

The Minister said that in 2014, only 30 per cent of childbirths were in government hospitals, but nowadays it has increased to 72.8 per cent.
