After regularising thousands of employees in the Electricity Department, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has now regularised the services of Village Revenue Assistants (VRA), Panchayat Raj Secretaries, according to Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy on Thursday.
The government gave them more than they bargained for, he remarked and appealed to the government employees to lend support to the Chie Minister for the progress of the State.
He expressed concern over some vested interests trying to tarnish the image of the government. He quoted the example of vested interests filing cases against the government on Mission Bhagiradha.
The Minister handed over the orders, absorbing the VRAs and Panchayat Raj secretaries, to the employees.
The Chief Minister surprised all BRS leaders when he first moved the proposal. He regularised the services of 20,000 outsourcing staff in the Electricity Department.
