Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has promised to take steps to resolve the issues facing people in the district.
The NDA alliance held a meeting on Saturday to discuss local issues and public grievances. District leaders, including Union Minister of State for Steel and Industries, Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, highlighted various problems that need attention.
Speaking at the event as the chief guest, Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar reminded attendees that the NDA came to power due to the unity of the three alliance parties.
“The government is to implementing welfare schemes transparently and efficiently. We revoked the garbage tax upon coming to power and are working on transforming waste into health resources,” he said.
The minister mentioned that the government has started providing free gas cylinders under the Deepam 2 program, fulfilling an earlier promise. He also noted that the free sand policy is already in effect.
Addressing energy concerns, the minister clarified that the government led by Chandrababu Naidu opposes implementing smart meters. Ravi Kumar further assured that he would discuss and resolve the 22A land issues with the Chief Minister. Criticizing the previous YSRCP government, he said, “Their failures and wrongdoings have now become a burden on the people.”
Key NDA leaders, including Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu, MLAs Pulaparti Ramanjaneyulu, K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju, B. Srinivas, Pitani Satyana rayana, APIIC Chairman Mantena Ramaraju, former Minister Pitala Sujata, and other party leaders, were present at the meeting.
