Minister for Water Resources Management Nimmala Ramanaidu called upon the NDA leaders of JSP and BJP to take the responsibility of enrolling all graduates into the voters list to cast their vote in the ensuing graduate’s constituency elections for Legislative Council.
The Minister participated in a seminar held here on Sunday on the enrollment of voters in the electoral roll for the graduate constituency elections, held in the cloth merchant association hall in Palakollu.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ramanaidu asked the leaders of the NDA to take the responsibility of enrolling the names of all graduates into the electoral roll for the ensuing election for the graduates constituency for West Godavari and East Godavari district constituency. He also called upon the leader to strive hard to win the election.
Since the time for the election is less, the leaders should expedite the efforts to make all graduates in the two districts voters in the electoral roll for the MLC election. The Minister clarified that even though the graduates enrolled their names during the previous elections and cast their vote, they should enroll their names afresh again into the electoral roll to cast their vote in the graduates constituency MLC elections.
The Minister asked the leaders to conduct house to house visit and inquire about the graduates and take steps to enroll their names in the electoral roll. “Enrolling the names of all graduates into the electoral roll is important but casting votes on the polling day is equally important,” he told them.
Though the Chandrababu Naidu head government inherited Rs 14 lakh crore debts, the government is balancing the implementation of welfare schemes and carryout out development works, he acknowledged. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan with the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are leading the State towards development.
The government has fulfilled some of the promises and is taking steps to fulfill some others soon. The government has proposed to organise the Palle Panduga programme on October 14 across the state and take steps to complete the pending development works in the rural areas.
APIIC chairman Mantena Rama Raju said that if all NDA leader work in a coordinated manner to win the graduate constituency elections, MLC Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao asked the NDA leaders and activists to visit all government and private offices, coaching centres to explain the graduates on how to enroll their names in the voters list. Former MLA Angara Rammohan, TDP and JSP leaders were among those who attended the meeting.
