She instructed officials to be readily accessible to the public and to monitor the situation closely. A control centre has been established at the Collectorate, with the helpline number 08816-299219 available for those seeking assistance.
The Collector emphasised the need to restore road connectivity to affected villages and ordered the relocation of residents from low-lying areas to safer locations. Officials have been directed to establish relief centres and provide food and water for those impacted by the rains. The water drainage department has been instructed to remain vigilant, particularly in inspecting and reinforcing weak embankments of drains and ponds.
All Laskars have been ordered to remain on the ground. The Nandamuri Aqueduct, Red Canal, and Yanamadurru Drain are to be closely monitored, with immediate action to be taken upon receiving any reports from residents of the respective villages. Efforts are to be made to restore power by replacing uprooted electrical poles. The Collector also stressed the importance of ensuring the supply of purified water to island villages, residential schools, and hostels, and urged the promotion of awareness on the consumption of boiled and cooled water.
Collector Nagarani expressed concern over reports of contaminated water being supplied in Narasapuram town and instructed the Municipal Commissioner to take appropriate action. She also warned of the potential outbreak of seasonal diseases such as diarrhoea and urged officials to implement preventive measures.
In response to the increase in fever cases within the district, the Medical and Health Department was directed to organise medical camps as needed. The Collector noted that platelet levels can drop even in the absence of dengue. Police and fire personnel have been instructed to remain vigilant and provide necessary assistance to the public.
