NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha has advised the officials concerned to ensure the success of the upcoming Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (Mega PTM), which will take place in all schools across the district on December 7. He emphasised that officials from the School Education Department should play a key role in coordinating with allied departments to make the event a success. He described the Mega PTM as a significant festival for the Education Department.
NTR District School Educational Officer (DSDO) UV Subba Rao conducted a meeting with Mandal Educational Officers (MESOs) and all district-level officers of allied departments at the Pingali Venkaiah Meeting Hall at the collectorate on Tuesday. He spoke to the officials about the arrangements for the Mega Parent Teacher Meeting.
The Collector said that the proposed Mega PTM will be helpful to strengthen the schools, besides resolving many issues. Also, it will be useful for the overall development of the students in all government and management schools. The meeting will build an intimate relationship between parents and teachers, he opined.
He added that apart from parents, many other people including donors, old students, and elected representatives will attend the meeting. Through this meeting, the parents can learn about their children’s progress in studies.
He asked the officials to beautify the school premises and maintain sanitation in view of the mega event which, he said, should be conducted irrespective of politics. He asked people’s representatives and political leaders not to come display their party flags or scarves during the event. Uninterrupted power supply, holistic progress cards distribution, health bulletin and other issues will be discussed, he said.

Later, Collector Lakshmisha released the SSC Physical Science question booklet prepared by the NTR District Physical Science Teachers Forum. He lauded the Physical Science teachers for preparing the study material aimed at 100 per cent results in government schools. DSDO UV Subba Rao, District Science Officer M Hussain, Physical Science Teachers Forum general secretary P Nageswara Rao, among others, were present.
