Every promise made to people will be fulfilled : Komatireddy

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Sunday asserted that every promise made to the people would be fulfilled. The people’s government would continue to work towards a more inclusive development. Venkat Reddy, who is the district incharge Minister, was participating in launching new schemes at a function held in Khanapur village under Mudigonda mandal, along with the Additional Collector P Sreeja. During the event, the Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes in the village and explained the benefits they would receive. Minister Venkat Reddy stated, “The people’s government has initiated action towards fulfilling every promise made to the people.” He further mentioned that the government had introduced the Employment Guarantee Scheme to provide work to the poor by ensuring legal provisions. Additionally, the new scheme under “Indiramma Aathmiya Bharosa” is being launched, offering annual assistance of Rs 12,000 to poor beneficiaries without land. He also mentioned that since the people’s government came to power, various programmes have been implemented, including the Rs 21,000 crore loan waiver for farmers, free bus travel, 200 units of free electricity, 500 gas cylinders, filling vacancies for youth, and the establishment of a Skill University to provide training. In a small village like Khanapur, 107 new Indiramma houses, 32 new ration cards, Farmer’s Assurance for 144 farmers, and Indiramma Atheemya Bharosa for 35 individuals are being implemented. It was also announced that from Ugadi onwards, a free supply of 6 kg of fine rice per person will be given to ration card beneficiaries. The Indiramma housing scheme will help alleviate the difficulties of the poor living in rented houses. Assistance of Rs 5 lakh will be provided in four phases, and this money should be used wisely to construct good houses. Government officials and engineers will provide advice and guidance for the construction of homes, as per the minister. In the past, under YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule, houses were fully constructed for the poor, and today, similar house constructions have been taken up in villages. Funds are being provided under the Farmer’s Assurance Scheme, and the funds will be deposited in banks starting tomorrow. In the future, when the state’s financial condition improves, an investment support of Rs 15,000 per acre under Ryathu Bharoa will be provided, as promised. Pending loan waiver issues will also be completed soon. The minister mentioned that Sonia Gandhi, under her leadership, passed a law in Parliament for the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGS) to ensure that the poor do not go hungry. He added that today, the people’s government is distributing Rs 6,000 as part of the first instalment, with an annual payment of 12,000 for labourers. The government is implementing welfare schemes transparently, and four new schemes are being launched today. He assured that actions would be taken in the future to fulfil every promise made to the people. Chairman of the Warehouses Corporation, Royal Nageswara Rao, District Panchayat Officer Ashalatha, Mandal Special Officer and Tribal Welfare Department Deputy Director Vijayalakshmi, Mudigonda Mandal Tahsildar Sunita Elizabeth, MPDO Sridhar Swamy, officials, and others participated.
