NTR District Collector Dr Nidhi Meena inspected the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) stored at the Marketing Yard godown in Gollapudi, near Vijayawada.
During her visit, she engaged with officials regarding the sealing of the EVM storage facility, the security measures in place, and the surveillance provided by CCTV cameras. Speaking on the occasion, Nidhi Meena stated that a comprehensive verification of the EVMs and VVPATs godowns is being carried out under instructions from the Election Commission of India (ECI). She emphasised the need for security guards to remain vigilant during their duties. The inspection is being conducted with the presence of political party leaders, she added.
The inspection included participation from DRO V Srinivasa Rao, Deputy Tahsildar Madhu Babu of the Collectorate Election Cell, and other officials.
