Former minister Pinipé Viswarup has claimed that his son has been falsely implicated in a murder case. He emphasised that the deceased was one of his own associates and that his son’s name was not mentioned in the FIR or anywhere during the investigation.
Viswarup accused the TDP coalition government of engaging in diversion politics by using this case as a political weapon. He claimed that his son’s name was wrongfully brought up under pressure from the accused. He also condemned the political vendetta brewing in Konaseema. His son was arrested while returning from a visit to the Madurai temple, adding further strain to the situation.
Meanwhile, former minister Chelluboyina Venu Gopalakrishna criticised the arrest of former minister Pinipe Viswarup’s son, Sri Kanth, calling it a politically motivated move aimed at diverting public attention from the government’s failures. He claimed the ruling coalition has been using diversion tactics whenever their shortcomings come under scrutiny. He pointed out that this is not the first time the government has employed such strategies, citing past incidents like the Tirupati Laddu issue and the Vijayawada floods.
