Former MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) has written to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urging immediate cancellation of the land allotment to Ursa Clusters Pvt Ltd. He also called for a thorough probe into the company’s ownership, funding sources, and political links — alleging a major benami scam involving his brother and sitting Vijayawada MP, Kesineni Sivanath.

In his letter, Srinivas praised CM Naidu’s ‘visionary’ decision to allot land to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Visakhapatnam, terming it a step towards real investment, employment generation, and enhancing Andhra Pradesh’s image as a tech hub. However, he expressed serious concern over a parallel allotment of 60 acres to the recently incorporated Ursa Clusters Pvt Ltd for a proposed Rs 5,728 crore data centre project.

The allotment includes 3.5 acres in the IT Park and 56.36 acres at Kapuluppada. Srinivas alleged that the company is a front, floated without any prior experience, to mask the involvement of MP Sivanath, whom he accused of attempting to acquire prime public land through proxies.

He also claimed that one of Ursa’s directors, Abburi Satish, is a close associate and former business partner of Sivanath in the now-defunct 21st Century Investments & Properties Pvt Ltd — a firm that allegedly defrauded numerous investors. He further alleged that Sivanath, in his capacity as MP and Andhra Cricket Association president, used his influence to push through the land allotment.

Terming the deal a ‘covert land grab’, Srinivas demanded that the government scrap the allotment and launch a full-scale investigation into the company’s dealings, while taking stern action against those misusing the party’s name and leadership for personal gain.
