Ex-Union minister takes part in BJP membership drive

Former Minister Rajiv Chandrasekharan has underlined the need to ensure that the welfare schemes being aided by the Modi-led BJP government at the Centre reach the rural poor.
The objective of Narendra Modi is to make the BJP the largest party in the country , he said.
Participating in the BJP membership drive here on Friday, along with Medak MP M Raghunandan Rao, he appealed to the party cadre to enrol more members into the party. He held a door-to- door campaign at Pragnapur under Gajwel municipality.
The nation has been marching ahead on the path to progress during the last 10-year rule of Modi, he said, adding that several sectors of development witnessed sea change.
Deriving inspiration from Modi, the BJP activists should work with dedication and sincerity. He said that the membership drive is evoking tremendous response and exuded confidence that the BJP would emerge as the largest party in the country.
He asked the BJP rank and file to expand the party activities to every village. He asked every party worker to lend his or her support to the PM Modi in turning the country into a developed nation.  In Medak LS seat, the BJP membership drive should be conducted on a massive scale in Gajwel.
BJP MP M Raghunandan Rao said that the people’s response to the party membership drive is overwhelming. All sections of society have been welcoming Modi’s rule with open arms, he said.
Former MLC Ramachandra Rao, BJP district president Gangidi Mohan Reddy, local leaders and others took part in the membership drive.
