Fair deal promised to residents affected by BRTS road expansion

In a reassuring move, MLA Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao and Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) CM Saikanth Varma jointly addressed the concerns of residents affected by the expansion of the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) road. The meeting, held at Vasudeva Kalyana Mandapam, aimed to ensure fair compensation and justice for those displaced due to the development project.
MLA M Srinivasa Rao emphasized the government’s commitment to prioritizing the well-being of citizens despite the importance of infrastructure projects. He stated, “The development of infrastructure is crucial for the progress of the city, but it should not come at the cost of the well-being of our citizens. We are committed to ensuring that all those who have been affected by the road expansion are compensated adequately and receive justice.”
Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma outlined the GVMC’s plans and measures to guarantee a transparent and efficient compensation process. He acknowledged the concerns of the affected residents and pledged to find a fair and just solution for everyone involved. “Our priority is to make this process transparent and efficient. We understand the concerns of the affected residents, and we are working towards a solution that is fair and just for everyone involved,” assured Commissioner CM Saikanth Varma IAS.
The meeting provided a platform for residents to express their concerns and seek clarity on the compensation process. Officials from relevant departments were present to address queries and provide information about the compensation procedures.
