A fake Twitter account in the name of AP DGP with obscene photographs created a buzz on social media platforms on Sunday. On learning about the fake Twitter account, the Police department technical team swung into action. The fake account was created in 2019 ‘dgpapofficial’. However, the account was completely closed in February 2020 (inoperative).
The Police technical team identified that someone had hacked the fake Twitter account and posted obscene photographs intentionally and hitting likes and spreading it on social media platforms.
A case has been registered in the cyber crime department and action will be taken against those involved in hacking and stern action will be taken against those responsible.
