A fake immigration racket has been busted and four people were arrested by SOT LB Nagar Neredmet Police for taking job hopefuls from India to the US.
The firm created fake Telangana State Government employee identity cards, sponsorship letters and other documents after collecting huge amounts.
The police registered cases Cr. No. 448/2023 under Sections 420, 419, 468, 471 and 120 (B) of IPC at the Neredmet Police Station.
The arrested suspects are Nageshwara Siddhartha (38), N. Prabhakar Rao (48), J. Nageshwar (45), and G. Nagaraju (33).
The police seized 16 fake ID cards of Telangana government employees, five passports, 279 chequebooks given by visa hopefuls with signatures, 10 fake invitation letters, 23 US visa fee receipts of Axis Bank, four Jagruti Co-Operative Bank letters and seven bank statements.
Police said A1 Nageshwara Siddhartha had been running a consultancy named as St Anthony’s Immigrations at Secunderabad with the help of his assistant Prabhakar Rao. He is charging Rs 5 lakh with an initial payment of Rs 1.5 lakh as processing fee.
He fraudulently copied the genuine sponsoring letter of an Indian couple staying in the US and used it by adding the names of the visa hopefuls and misusing it giving the impression that the Indian couple was sponsoring their relatives to the US, police said.
