Farm loan waiver benefits only 50% of farmers: Harish

Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao has described the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government in Telangana as the Tughlaq administration.
He alleged that the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy administration threw the farmers’ problems to the winds and attracted their indignation.
Addressing the media, along with Narsapur MLA Sunitha Laxma Reddy, here on Wednesday, Harish Rao alleged that the Revanth Reddy government claimed that it implemented the loan waiver to all farmers. He alleged that the loan waiver benefited only 50 per cent of eligible farmers. Of the 41 lakh farmers in Telangana, only 21 lakh farmers benefited, he alleged.
The people have been questioning the village level congress leaders, he pointed out.
The Congress leaders at grassroots have been facing the problems, he said.
The  government  did not implement the loan waiver, Rytu Bandhu scheme, crop insurance scheme, bonus to the paddy farmers, he said, questioning the Congress government what did it do to the people. The people are reeling under the impact of viral fevers in Telangana, he said, alleging that there were no medicines available in government hospitals. The doctors are giving only a few tablets, but not prescribing the actual medicines.
In the name of HYDRAA, Revanth Reddy has been indulging histrionics to divert the public attention to the main issues, he said. He alleged that the state government diverted Rs 800 crore allocated to the NREGs by the Centre to other purposes.
He said that the BRS would launch a massive protest on the farmers’ problems. He said that Revanth Reddy destroyed brand Hyderabad image. The ACDP funds allocated to the MLAs were not spent for any productive purposes.
