Due to jaundice, filmmaker Surya Kiran passed away in Chennai on Monday. 51 was his age. He was well-known for his work on the films Satyam, Raju Bhai, and a few more.
PRO Suresh announced the news of his death and said, “Director #SuryaKiran has passed away due to jaundice. He directed Telugu films like Satyam, Raju Bhai, and a few others. He was also a former contestant on Biggboss Telugu. Om Shanti.”
He started off his career as a child artist and worked on over 200 films during his early years. He later transitioned to directing and made his debut with the 2003 film Satyam, which starred Sumanth and Genelia and became a tremendous success at the box office.
Following this, Surya Kiran directed several other notable films, including Hana 51, Brahmastram, Raju Bhai, and Chapter 6.
He was a contestant on Bigg Boss Telugu season 4. Surya Kiran was married to actress Kalyani, who was well-known for her part in Avunu Valliddharu Ishtapaddaru, but later parted ways. Sujitha, his sister, is a renowned actress on television.
