Finally, Akhil Akkineni’s Agent Is Streaming on OTT

Akhil Akkineni’s Agent has finally set its OTT release date after almost two years. Sony Liv announced that the spy-action film will premiere on March 14. Directed by Surender Reddy, Agent was released in 2023 but failed at the box office, disappointing many, including producer Anil Sunkara, who had high expectations for the film.
The film also features Malayalam superstar Mammootty in an important role, along with Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and Bollywood actor Dino Morea as the antagonist. Agent follows the story of an ambitious RAW agent, Rickey (Akhil Akkineni), assigned a mission by RAW chief Colonel Mahadev (Mammootty) to track down a former agent, Dharma (Dino Morea), who has a dangerous plan to destroy India. The film promises an adrenaline-pumping action ride.
The story was written by Vakkantham Vamsi, with the project jointly produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara, Ajay Sunkara and Deepa Reddy. Akhil Akkineni has yet to begin work on his next project following Agent’s failure.
