Lady Superstar Nayanthara saw three movies released last year. Jawan, her debut in Bollywood, became a box office sensation. However, the other two films are Iraivan and Annapoorani. Now, Annapoorani has become a source of controversy.
There are reports of an FIR filed against Nayanthara and others connected to Annapoorani for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments and promoting Love Jihad. Ramesh Solanki, a former Shiva Sena leader, criticised the film as ‘Anti-Hindu,’ highlighting scenes like Nayanthara offering namaz before cooking meat and actor Jai’s comments on Lord Rama. He has urged the DGP of Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai Police to take action.
Interestingly, neither Nayanthara nor the producers, including Netflix management, have responded to the allegations. The unfolding events will determine the resolution of this situation.
