Produced by his father Mohan Babu, the makers have been releasing something from the film on every Monday for the last few weeks. Now, they released the first song ‘Shiva Shiva Shankara’ and it was launched by none other than Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation. This marks the first time Guruji has lent his presence to the music release of a film, making this a truly landmark event, according to the makers.
The song launch event was held at Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ashram in Bengaluru, with the team of ‘Kannappa’, including Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu, director Mukesh Kumar Singh and others. Deeply rooted in devotion, the song captures the essence of Lord Shiva’s divine energy, making its release an occasion of immense spiritual significance. In an official statement, the production team expressed their gratitude, saying, “This film is a labour of devotion, and having Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Guruji unveil our first song on our behalf is truly a blessing.”
“It is an honour to have Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Guruji launch this divine song. Kannappa is a film deeply connected to Lord Shiva, and this moment adds immense spiritual value to our journey,” said Mohan Babu on this occasion. The Telugu lyrics are penned by Ramajogayya Sastry, while Vijay Prakash lends his voice for this song. The song portrays a unique form of love and devotion towards Lord Shiva.
