Chief Secretary K Vijayanand has stressed the need for timely and rational resolution of public grievances. During a review meeting with department secretaries and district collectors, he said that non-financial complaints should be resolved immediately. A nodal officer should be appointed in each department to oversee grievance redressal, with random checks to monitor progress, he added.
Vijayanand also revealed that a collectors’ meeting will be held in the second or third week of February. Secretaries are to provide detailed information about government schemes to collectors one week prior, ensuring they are fully informed to discuss the programmes effectively.
He reiterated the government’s vision for achieving a 15-per cent growth rate by 2047 as part of the Swarna Andhra initiative. The Planning Department has identified 525 key performance indicators and departments are urged to meet their targets.
Additionally, Vijayanand instructed all departments to submit relevant data to the one-man commission on SC categorisation by January 27. To ensure district collectors are well-versed in government schemes, secretaries will brief them virtually every Saturday, with a temporary schedule already in place for the next 11 weeks. This initiative aims to enhance the effective implementation of programmes at the district level.
CCLA G Jayalakshmi, CM Secretary Pradyumna and others attended the meeting.
