As the release of Nindha draws near, anticipation mounts among Telugu cinema enthusiasts eager to experience a narrative that promises to blur the lines between reality and mystery. Directed and produced by Rajesh Jagannatham under The Fervent Indie Productions banner, Nindha stars Varun Sandesh in a pivotal role and is slated to hit theatres on June 21. In an exclusive interview, Rajesh Jagannatham offered insights into the genesis of the project, its thematic elements, and the creative process behind bringing it to life.
“Many have speculated about Nindha since the unveiling of its intriguing poster captioned ‘Kandrakota Mystery’,” Rajesh Jagannatham begins, addressing the film’s origins. “While the title may evoke supernatural connotations, the essence of Nindha lies in its depiction of real events intertwined with fictional narrative elements. It’s a deliberate choice aimed at engaging our audience right from the outset,” he adds.
Casting Varun Sandesh, the director says, was a perfect fit for the role in the film. Explaining his choice of Varun Sandesh for the lead role, Rajesh Jagannatham shares, “Varun’s portrayal in Nindha marks a significant comeback for him. I believed he possessed the ideal blend of charisma and depth required to breathe life into the character. His involvement added a layer of authenticity to the storytelling process.”
Transitioning from discussing casting choices to production challenges, Rajesh Jagannatham reflects on his decision to take on the dual roles of director and producer: “Initially seeking external producers, I eventually took the reins myself out of sheer belief in the narrative’s potential. It was a learning curve, balancing creative vision with logistical realities, but one that ultimately strengthened my commitment to the project.”
When asked about his expectations for audience reception, Rajesh Jagannatham exudes confidence asserting, “Drawing inspiration from impactful Malayalam cinema, Nindha aims to resonate with viewers on an emotional and intellectual level. I believe it will be a film that everyone can appreciate for its narrative depth and cinematic craftsmanship.”
Looking ahead, Rajesh Jagannatham hints at future projects. “While Nindha remains my immediate focus, I have scripts ready for exploration. My passion lies in directing meaningful stories that resonate with audiences, and I look forward to continuing this journey,” he revealed.
