As many as four persons were killed and another was critically injured when the car in which they were travelling rammed a tree at Ravivenkatapalle village in Tadipatri mandal in the wee hours on Saturday.
Police said that one of the deceased Mohan Reddy bought a car on Friday. On the occasion, he gave a party to his friends.
When they were returning from the party, the car rammed a roadside tree killing Mohan Reddy (27), Vishnu Chowdary (24), Naresh Reddy (28) and Madhusagar Reddy (28).
All the four were killed instantaneously. Another person Srinivasa Reddy was critically injured in the accident. The car was being driven at a high speed when the mishap occurred, police said. SI Mohammad Gouse visited the scene of the accident, registered a cae and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem.
